1st of May (Vappu) is peculiar in Finland because similar celebrations can be seen only if Finland wins World Hockey Championships or Eurovision Song Contest (latter has happened only once). It is also typical for Finns to enjoy May Day brunch or lunch at restaurants or have picnic in Kaivopuisto (if one lives in Helsinki). Unfortunately our climate does not favor so often outdoor picnics; no exception this year, only +5C degrees and rainy!
But May Day in Malaga, Spain is somewhat different. Temperature is more convenient and no celebration at all. Similarites are bank holiday and food, you have to eat anyway.
